Smart Law Practice Financial Services Website Design

Something different for an otherwise dull industry

Project Overview

Smart Law Practice (KMJ) was a brand new off shoot of a larger company and as such needed a website that could support two goals: attract and convert leads and provide financial thought leadership. Like with all our website projects at Impulse Creative, we start with a discovery meeting to talk goals. From there wireframes are quickly mocked up to help transition from idea to high fidelity concept.

A series of layouts were developed all with specific intent. A homepage would support the first impression of the brand, a blog layout would help the Smart Law Practice team share crucial insight, and landing pages were made to help convert visitors to leads.

The catch was to design something the client had seen before. Common trappings of web design and layout were thrown to the wind to develop a look and feel as unique as that of the client. An off-centered grid, and photographic style not often associated with financial institutions, helped drive the concept home.

The unique blog listing layout breaks away from the mundane long scroll format and instead distributes content across two columns to aid the user’s natural tendency to explore.

A consistent use of color and photography across all the layouts helped support content, also done in house at Impulse Creative.
